The Arguments of Hate

Terrorism is a mental illness
That travels as disease among mankind,
Infecting souls in movement and in stillness
With arguments that linger in the mind.

It thrives where mass resistance is brought low
By policies and actions that debase
An oppressed people who want quid pro quo
Against a greater force they can’t erase.

In such a people arguments resound
That power must by evil be addressed,
That violation of their holy ground
Legitimize the acts of terrorists.

No army on earth could inoculate
A land against the arguments of hate.
