Osama, Once Forgotten

Osama, once forgotten, is now back
To scare our soccer moms from shore to shore –
If we were not bogged down there in Iraq,
He'd come to kill us at the grocery store.

This is the bloody conflict where the war
Against the stateless fascists will be won –
So we can't trust our diplomatic corps
To finish what we must not leave undone.

And though this is the central conflict of
The twenty-first century since Christ –
We need not forgo tax cuts that we love
Since freedom can be bought at bargain price.

We will not win if our morale is dropping –
So take a second mortgage and go shopping!
