Then and Now
Our country was much braver when I was a younger man
When fear itself was all we had to fear
When mutually assured destruction threatened our free land
When evil empires sought to domineer.
Now they stoke our fears as if we were weak hothouse flowers
Whose President must shield us from all threats
Whose congress dare not check a lawless grab for total powers
Who would give up our freedom, no regrets!
